This is AMAZING! Laura had the words "Devo farmi le ossa" tattooed on her arm for her 37th birthday. This is an Italian phrase, meaning, "I need to build my bones" — which is to say: Time to toughen up, to grow up, to stand up. Happy birthday, Laura! Now go be a bad-ass… 🙂

"Devo farmi le ossa." Have had these words swirlin' around in the back of my mind since I first read EPL in 2007. For my 37th birthday last weekend, I did this. <3

hello, Liz!
My picture isn’t from an exotic country (not for me, at all).
I was just reading your book at the square near my job, in my lunchtime.
I’ve been doing this for weeks.
Well, that is the brazilian edition of your book, and I’m really thankful for that reading. Alma is an excellent company, a great interlocutor and a grateful enigma.
Thanks a lot for your text – it sounds honest, true and absolutely accurate.
love, Juliana
